How often should you have acupuncture?

I think I am asked this question everyday. I completely understand that everyone's time and resources are different - and of course everyone wants to get back to their best as quickly as possible (I want this for you too!). So here we go.....

Acupuncture has a cumulative effect - this means that results are achieved over time with consistent sessions.Thats why it is important to be committed to your treatment plan and attend your apts and take your herbs as prescribed. Initially you will need to attend frequently, generally once a week, this is to reduce pain or other symptoms you may be experiencing (palpitations, low mood, poor sleep) as we progress and your body recovers / improves treatments can be more spread out.

TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) focusses on you as an individual and your healing and response to acupuncture will be unique to you but generally we would expect an improvement in 3 - 4 sessions.

And then we move to the best part - preventative sessions - most people enjoy acupuncture and its benefits and keep up their sessions once a month - this is a great way to stay on top of conditions, pay attention to anything coming up and generally prevent further issues.
